Complete Demolition were appointed as Principal Contractor for the extensive demolition of the former administration and employee residential hub for Merseycare NHS Trust on the Maghull site in Liverpool. The site consisted of a variety of 3 storey office structures and 2 storey residential buildings. Prior to works commencing all services to the buildings were terminated to the structures being demolished and redirected to maintain the services to all buildings that remained. A comprehensive CCTV condition survey was completed on the drainage system prior to and post the works. The main contract included the removal of notifiable asbestos under controlled conditions, comprehensive soft strip of all the buildings and the full demolition of all existing structures and foundations.
Throughout the contract our experienced site team worked alongside ecologists to undertake bat and bird surveys and subsequently removed the bats to a safe location during the demolition phase of the works. The demolition works were undertaken using 4 excavators fitted with specialist demolition attachments.
We achieved our target of zero waste to landfill (excluding asbestos)
