Complete Regeneration were appointed to undertake the soft-strip and internal demolition works to Salisbury House and Chestnut House, two ten-storey tower blocks close to Liverpool docks.
The works included the demolition of the plant rooms at roof level, demolition of a ten-storey concrete stairwell in each block, de-cladding the full exterior elevations, removal of internal block walls and balconies and demolition of several two storey housing blocks on the same site. There was a significant amount of demolition waste within the blocks. All the demolition hardcore was recycled. The debris from the low level demolitions (housing blocks) was crushed on site for reuse as a car park for contractors.
